Eugenia Stipitata. ARAZA Fruit. Health Benefits and Nutritional Facts









This fruit is native to Brazil and known with scientific name of Eugenia Stipitata.  It is some times also referred as Amazonian Pear.

Araza is an exotic fruit, originally from the tropical forest. Araza potential is due to its unique natural essence with great color and delicious flavor. The natural essence is so delightful that it is commonly used in juices, purees, blending, jams and jellies, confectionery etc.

Araza nutritional value relies in its very high Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C content.)


Dairy and Soya based products: like milk shakes, dairy blends like milk with Araza (which is acid) and apple, banana, or borojo (which are mainly basic.) In Ecuador , and Peru the most popular Araza beverage is a milk shake.


Araza makes an excellent yogurt. Araza puree concentrate thickness easily when mixed with milk giving the feeling of a smooth yogurt.




Araza makes really good drinks mixed with water and a basic fruit like pears. In Brazil one of the most common drinks is the Araza succo which is water based. Alcoholic beverages like smoothie's water based.

Hot sauce. The Araza is blended with some jalapeños (or other type of hot pepper) and some olive oil, a bit of sugar, salt, and garlic.

Sauce to marinate. The Araza is used to marinate the shrimps, chicken or other types of meats. It gives a superb flavor to the food.
